In the course of a Soul Realignment reading, we find various blocks and restrictions that are affecting the client on several levels (spiritual, emotional, physical, etc.). Usually, these can be further broken down by determining what I think of as their “flavors”. One might have an attachment hanging around producing feelings of, say, drama, fear, or self-loathing. Once the attachment is cleared, of course, it’s much easier for one to shrug these off.
One particularly insidious flavor I’ve found quite often, both in my work and in myself, is called “conditionality” – insidious because it’s so easily produced by our own egos that it becomes a habit, and eventually becomes self-perpertuating and literally takes on a life of its own and becomes an attachment. As well, it often makes perfect sense to the logical mind and thus, without close and deep examination, can continue to do its dirty work unhindered for years or lifetimes.
Conditonality, in a nutshell, is that thought form which makes us think that something specific must occur before what we want (or know we should be doing) can happen. You know…”Once I lose ten pounds, I’ll feel much more confident and will be able to find a companion”, or “as soon as my life settles down a bit, I’ll be able to concentrate on my spiritual development”.
There are some key words and phrases to watch for in your thought process if you want to root out and rid yourself of this subtle plague. “Except”. “Although”. “More or less”. Things like that. This is especially true when you’re trying to use conscious intention to manifest something into your life. You already know that appreciation of physical life is a key to the Law of Attraction. You do affirmations like, “My life is so abundant and I enjoy all the things and people and experiences I have.”
But: do you on some level add, “except for that little bastard at work who keeps needling me”; or, “although, sometimes I wish my car were a little nicer”? If you’re tagging your appreciation with these condition, you’ve just cancelled out the good stuff. You’re not send out a vibration of abundance at all. At best, it’s a hodgepodge of conflicting frequencies that won’t have any effect on anything; at worst, you’ve turned your appreciation into lack and will attract lack instead of abundance.
Please. You know tomorrow never comes, and making everything you want to do dependent on something else is a losing proposition. If you’re going to, no matter how unconsciously, qualify every positive statement with a countering negative, you’re not going to get anywhere. Close self-examination will reveal whether you’e doing this to yourself. And frankly, if you find you can’t rid yourself of this subtle sabotage, chances are a clearing is in order. Either way, your path will be much easier without it.
